Juggling Halloween all-weekend-long festivities, mom visits, food poisoning, and more and more work has been slightly grueling the past two weeks.  I apologize for my absence, and promise to pick up the pace again soon.  Until then, I leave you with this beautiful hand wonder by James Henkel. MmMm good.

Thanks Cinnamon!

October festivities: a rainy day at the Sauvie Island pumpkin patch

Omaha boys of McCarthy Trenching.  My heart melts when my old old friend James sings along with Dan McCarthy.  Tomorrow releases their newest album, Fresh Blood, on Slumber Party Records.  It’ll be the perfect cure for my October home(townfriends)sick blues.

Take me back to summer please.

Today I’m lovin’ on some Ben Shahn images.
